Its face is that of a rabbit's, with long erect-standing ears and sharp fangs for teeth. Its body is entirely humanoid in shape and proportion, with only its most bestial features being the elongated claws on its fingers and its head. The B-Rabbit appears as a gigantic anthropomorphized black rabbit. He would be raised by the Vessalius Dukedom under the mistaken belief that he was the human Oz Vessalius. After one hundred years Jack's soul within his body burnt out, and all that was left was the slumbering soul of Oz with neither his powers nor memories. Meanwhile Jack was excluded from a true death and salvation by the Hundred Cycles, now cursed to age circuitously backwards from his age at "death" into an infant then back again indefinitely. Alice was left with no memories or knowledge of her identity, excluding her name and the misplaced conviction that she was the B-Rabbit. However the Core of the Abyss, not wishing harm to come to the two Alices, interferes, and the Intention's memories were merely torn and scattered through the world while her sister's memories were taken as a substitute. Alice, to protect Oz from having to destroy anything else, takes the B-Rabbit's powers into her own soul, becoming Alice the B-Rabbit. The Intention wished to use the B-Rabbit's powers to destroy her memories of Jack to prevent this from ever happening again. He attempts to gain further power by contacting the Intention of the Abyss, but is stopped by her sister Alice destroying their physical body when she commits suicide. ĭespite Contracting Oz and using his powers to sever the "Chains," Jack's attempted worldly destruction failed and resulted in the Tragedy of Sablier. He manipulates the Intention of the Abyss into creating a Chain with the power to destroy the "Chains" making up the world, to which she offers Oz. Grateful to be given life, Oz sacrifices one of his bodies to convey a fragment of Lacie's emotions as her last message to Jack Vessalius however this act only gives Jack the motivation to forcibly join the material world and the Abyss. Following Lacie's death, he became the companion of her twin daughters, Alice and the Intention of the Abyss. Over one hundred years prior to the story's beginning, Oz born when Lacie Baskerville presented the Core of the Abyss with a pair of identical rabbit dolls, one kept by Lacie and the other by the Core. The true original B-Rabbit is not Alice, it is Oz.
